City of Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is situated in the southernmost part of the Republic of Croatia and is now the administrative seat of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the focal point of a developed tourist region of Dubrovačko primorje, Župa Dubrovačka, Cavtat, the islands of Korčula, Lastovo, Mljet, Šipan, Lopud, Koločep, the peninsula of Pelješac and the agriculturally rich Neretva Valley and Konavle.
Dubrovnik is rich in cultural and historical monuments and is included in UNESCO World Heritage List. Dubrovnik Summer Festival is held annually here, and the city is also the venue for scientific, scholarly and literary conferences and world tourist congresses. Nature lovers can find here a true Mediterranean landscape, sailors will find marinas and blue sea. It has also excellent sports and recreational facilities and air, sea and road links with the rest of Europe and the world.
